▲ 14 r/visas

I don't mean this to bash anyone, I'm just genuinely curious... why do people choose to use a visa service rather than just apply directly on the government site?

I just went to apply for a visa, of course I don't know the government page I need to go to, so I google "country I'm going to" + visa, and the first few results are all random third-party sites that you can use to apply for a visa, but at an added cost. These sites don't get the visa any faster, so what's the point?

I just scroll past till I see the gov and within five minutes I have my application submitted. It's not that hard, so why are people willing to pay triple the money to use a visa service? Am I missing something here? Who on earth is using these?
