My husband is a meteorologist and just posted a update on the hurricane and what we can expect

My husband put together another great breakdown of the storm, what’s expected, and what to watch for. He explains everything clearly without the hype or fearmongering. Thought I’d share for anyone wanting a straightforward look at what’s coming! I have had people thanking me for posting him so hope this helps someone!

Christian couple (33M) and (32F).

I recently got married, and my husband and I come from somewhat different Christian backgrounds. He is Baptist and holds very strong Baptist beliefs, while I have always considered myself non-denominational. He has never drank alcohol and waited until marriage, and I respect the convictions he has chosen to live by.
At the same time, I’ve been struggling since we got married. Instead of feeling like I’m flourishing alongside the person I love, I often feel isolated and unhappy. Before I met him, I wasn’t necessarily the “perfect” Christian, but I had a very personal and close relationship with the Lord. I had people in my life, I experienced a lot of joy, and I genuinely felt alive in my faith.
My husband is very judgmental about parts of my past, and he has also made me promise that I will never drink alcohol again. I understand that following Christ involves sacrifice, obedience, and sometimes giving things up. I want to live according to Scripture and honor God with my life. But I’m struggling because some of the expectations placed on me seem to go beyond what I personally understand Scripture to require and feel more connected to his denominational beliefs and family traditions.
What concerns me most is that I actually felt more alive and connected to Christ before I met my husband than I do now. I don’t want marriage or religion to become something that takes away my joy, isolates me from people, or makes my relationship with God feel based primarily on rules, fear, or judgment.
His family members are genuinely good people, and I respect them. At the same time, I don’t see much joy in the way they live, and I’m afraid that if I simply adopt their way of doing everything, I may eventually become unhappy and lose parts of myself and my relationship with God that once brought me so much life.
I love my husband, and I want our marriage to honor Christ. I’m just struggling to understand where biblical conviction ends and personal or denominational conviction begins, and how two Christians with different backgrounds can build a marriage where both people are able to grow closer to God rather than one person feeling like they have to completely conform to the other.
