Is sleeping on property generally accepted?

I’m thinking about commuting to an airport about a hour and a half away it’s 4 days on 4 days off 10 hour shifts. It would be nice if I could purchase a van and make it int like a camper and stay on property so I could drive down 2 times out of the week instead of 4. I’ve heard of people doing this but idk if this is very common for places. obviously as I get closer to moving on that’s something I would ask but I am curious as to how common that is to do.

Help deciding where to work

In 2 weeks I take my powerplant and will be a rated mechanic. Money is not an issue right now so I’m wondering what people think about me just waiting to get into a major airline around me. I live 50 mins away from 2 international airports so I do have some options. But I have a job offer at a regional 1 and a half hours away. The regional pays 35hr so less than most if not all majors starting and is 40 mins further away. I feel it would make sense to jsut wait 1-8 months and find somewhere I could see myself 10+ years from now. Open to whatever anyone has to say and if anyone has been in this position let me know what u think. Thank you.
