Is anyone else in a CHS do or die situation?

What I mean by that is, would any of you be fired from your job, if CHS stepped in again? Lose living arrangements? Etc.

BPC-157 & CHS

My question to AI:

Can you think of a reason why BPC-157 would help someone that has had CHS multiple times?

Response:

Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS) and Body Protection Compound-157 (BPC-157) are deeply tied to the gut-brain axis, making their biological interaction a fascinating area of discussion.
While no formal human clinical trials exist specifically testing BPC-157 as a treatment for CHS, there is a strong mechanistic overlap. Understanding how CHS disrupts the body alongside BPC-157's primary healing pathways highlights several theoretical reasons why this peptide could support recovery.

  1. Repairing Severe Mucosal and Tissue Damage (Cytoprotection)
The defining feature of BPC-157 is cytoprotection—the ability to protect and heal cellular linings, particularly within the gastrointestinal tract.

The CHS Problem: Multiple hyperemetic phases involve violent, repeated vomiting that strips the protective mucosal lining of the stomach and esophagus, causing severe chemical burns from stomach acid, intense localized inflammation, and a high risk of esophageal tears (Mallory-Weiss tears).

The BPC-157 Action: Originally isolated from human gastric juices, BPC-157 accelerates tissue healing, upregulates angiogenic growth factors (promoting new blood vessel growth to damaged areas), and triggers cell turnover via the FAK-paxillin pathway. This could drastically speed up the physical repair of a battered upper GI tract between episodes.

  1. Normalizing Sphincter Integrity and Gastric Motility
CHS fundamentally breaks the regular mechanical rhythms of digestion. Chronic overstimulation of cannabinoid receptors (specifically CB1 receptors in the enteric nervous system) leads to delayed gastric emptying and altered muscle tone along the digestive line.

The BPC-157 Action: In animal
models, BPC-157 has demonstrated a unique ability to stabilize and normalize both the lower esophageal sphincter and the pyloric sphincter. By restoring appropriate tone to these muscular valves, it can theoretically alleviate severe acid reflux and help stabilize gastric emptying, addressing the immediate mechanical failure that drives cyclic nausea.

  1. Stabilizing Gut-Brain Signaling and Neurotransmitters
CHS is classified as a functional gut-brain axis disorder. Chronic cannabis consumption alters the pituitary-adrenal axis and downregulates central receptors, inducing high visceral hypersensitivity, intense abdominal pain, and autonomic dysfunction.

The BPC-157 Action: BPC-157 works bidirectionally. It doesn't just sit in the stomach; it modulates central nervous system disturbances. Research shows it helps normalize disrupted neurotransmitter signaling (including dopamine, serotonin, and GABA systems) following toxin or substance overexposure. By calming hyperactive gut-brain signals, it may reduce the visceral pain and systemic stress responses that feed into a CHS relapse.
