Why is the custard always liquid?

It doesn’t matter if it’s the middle of winter, when our family gets a scoop of custard in a dish it’s always soup. And not just at our local, but nearly every Culver’s I’ve been to. We have other local-ish frozen custard shops and it’s NEVER a problem.

Best tea in US for visiting Brits?

Ex-pat here, usually drink Yorkshire (or Yorkshire Gold)
My husband has colleagues coming from the Liverpool area for a while. I’m sending some shortbread, an electric kettle and some milk to work with him since he won’t even drink the break room coffee and I don’t want to subject these poor gentlemen to it. Would like to send something that’s a bit of a treat, but not looking for anything too posh that I seem like I’m trying too hard. My usual brew will do, I know, and I don’t want to drive to Williams and Sonoma for F&M, is there something else you think they would enjoy? I’ve been here for nearly 18 years, so I feel a little out of the loop.
