I built this custom Ruger Charger a while back, but only finally got to make a case for it. I think it was originally for a tenor ukulele.

Also holds a drum magazine.

Anyone have a cool custom case they want to show off?

I recently built a fully custom 22 Charger, but I don’t have a good case for it. It’s too big for a pistol case, but a rifle case is WAY too big!

I always loved the gangsters in movies with the Tommy Gun in the violin case.

My daughter happens to play violin in school, so I thought I would check the size with her case.

My Charger fits pretty well!

That also got me thinking about my 10/22 Takedown Backpacker. It would also fit nicely in a violin case, including a drum magazine!

Alternatively, the Charger fits nicely in a ukulele soft case.

I think I’m going to see if I can find an old-fashioned wood violin case and modify if for the Charger.

Hello! I recently built a pistol and it was suggested I should share it here.

It’s technically a pistol, using the Ruger .22 Charger platform. (Same receiver as a 10/22, but never used as a rifle)

I cut down an old wood stock to make an “Axe“ handle.

The lever action loop is actually the magazine release. I originally 3d printed it, and then later used my 3d model converted to a dxf and sent it to a water-jet company to be cut from 1/2” aluminum plate.

The trigger is solid brass. I made a 3d model, printed it and used it as a pattern for a two-part sand mold. I cast molten brass, then machined and drilled it, filed and polished it.

10” barrel.

The brass tube magazine is simply decorative to complete the look. Barrel band and a few other parts are just 3d printed. Pistol uses Ruger 10/22 type magazines.

It was a fun project to build!
