I have TMJD and struggle with my MAD oral appliance flaring up my jaw. I can’t tolerate CPAP. I have been trying to get the AirFit F30i to work but just can’t keep a seal, in spite of getting a smaller mouthpiece for my tiny nostrils. I have low AHI but very high RDI. Any tips appreciated!
Has anyone noticed that the TMJD Facebook groups are highly biased based on which doctors moderate the groups? Neuromuscular dentists will block anyone who is anti-orthotic. Others block anyone anti-surgery. If you’re pro “standard medical paths” (MRI, PT, etc) - instant ban. Why do they do this? Are these groups just big sales pitches? I am so frustrated with all of them. Anyone else make this observation?
Has anyone fully reclaimed their lives and sanity with anterior disc displacement? If so, what did you do?
Has anyone had luck finding a mask to improve TMJD/night clenching? Mouth breather, stomach sleeper…severe TMJD so can’t use my oral appliance. Desperate for relief! Tried Resmed AirTouch F30i and could not get seal to stay secure longer than 10 minutes.
