I was rewatching season 1 of Uzak Sehir, and the way they messed this show up in season 2 needs to be studied. What made me love this show was the ambience, the family drama, the forbidden love, and the mystery surrounding it all. I remember being so excited for season 2. This was my first real Turkish show, so I was naive about how they tend to ruin their shows once season 2 comes around.

At this point, I just tell myself the show ended at episode 28 because season 2 was an unnecessary headache. So many unnecessary events happened, and so many characters were introduced or (brought back from the ☠️) that just didn't need to be there. The last time I was this disappointed with a show was when I watched Safir and Feraye ended up with Yaman instead of Ates.

Opinion/Thoughts

Disclaimer: these are just MY thoughts and opinions regarding Uzak Sehir.

- The writers had no business bringing Boran back from the dead. He died and should've stayed dead. I don't know why they didn't stick with the original when it came to that. It ruined the whole show imo.
- Zerrin is horribly written. She has no depth and no development. All she does is cry and is this weak, defeated character who can’t save or help herself.
- Season 3 is very unnecessary; I don't care that the ratings are high. The show has run its course, and the storyline is finished. They are just dragging it now. Production, writers whoever need to know when it’s time to be done.
- Too many unnecessary characters are being added. The writers provided no development with the original characters but added all these new ones.

Also not sure how true this is just my thoughts. It seems as though the writers had no concrete plans or storyline for S2. Seems like they were just going with whatever.
