jamie campbell bower @ creep ie con [UPDATE & REUPLOAD]

hello everyone! this is more than likely going to be a LONG post/read so i will do my best to keep my words clear, concise and as to the point as possible. so, a few days ago i had made a post to this sub talking about how jamie would be at creep ie con on the 11th of this month (july 11, 2026) and i had been seeking advice about meeting him, etc. i accidentally removed the post while i was organizing my profile so i’m sorry about that (thank you to those who had wrote to me on that original post).

currently and as of the moment of writing this, i am now a couple of days removed from the 11th and i feel the need to take the time and share with you all my story/experience of meeting jamie because it’s a lot and i can’t keep it to myself forever. for context, with this convention event i had pre paid for a premium autograph and a photo op session with jamie. the convention had placed me in his first group so i would have been in photo session 1 at 2:50PM. also, this was my very first convention along with my very first time having the opportunity to meet an actor and musician face to face in this capacity.

once the doors had opened for general admission at 11AM, myself, my older sister and my dad walked in and immediately my heart is racing from excitement and nerves and all i could think was “where’s jamie?”. after looking through some ballrooms we found his table and there was already a decent line formed to meet him for autographs (jamie would have to leave to another room at different points during the autograph session to do the photo ops and to take his lunch break). from here, i go to get in line and i’m stopped by an employee who tells me that i need to come back at 12PM since right now he’s only meeting with vip and a limited number of general admission (i was basically cut off with some other people who also had general admission). since this was my first convention i figured okay that’s fine i’ll wait and come back at 12PM with the callback card they gave me and hopefully the line won’t be too long once i return.

fast forward to about 11:45AM, i return and the line has not moved an inch and if anything the line had only gotten longer. once again, i didn’t think anything of it because my photo session was at 2:50PM so i had more than enough time. well…about an hour later at 1:30PM the line moved only slightly ahead and i made it pretty close to the main section of the line that has the curtains. in my head i’m thinking okay we’re starting to cut it a bit close to the photo op time because jamie’s going to have to leave to the other room to do these initial photo sessions. so now i’m starting to get a little worried because if the line doesn’t move i will have to leave too because the photo op/session is not refundable. luckily, i had made friends with the people around me in line and they had told me that they had been to conventions like this one before so they were hopeful for me at the time that this would all find a way to work itself out. until, one of the workers had come up to our little section of the line and told us that once we pass the curtain, if we leave for any reason you are choosing to FOREFIT your spot, no saving spots and they will not let you come back to your spot in line under any circumstance as to assure that every person has a chance. so now i’m FREAKING OUT because i’m so close to the front, it had been 2 hours waiting at that point and i hadn’t eaten since we just got to the event, no water and no bathroom breaks. this causes me to really panic because i don’t want to lose my spot in line since it had already been hours and i can’t miss the photo op either. by the grace of the lovely people around me in line they too saw how ridiculous this sounded and how unfair it was, as well. i was feeling out of it by that point so i couldn’t help but break down and cry in front of the whole line from frustration and from the sadness that i wouldn’t be able to get both of the things that i had came there for. by the way, the same employee/worker had said to my face basically that i would have to choose either the autograph or the photo op and that if i had stepped out of the line they would not let me back through. the people around me were defending and vouching for me to the employees, which did truly help and also did help to make me feel better, too. one of the women who i made friends with then said why don’t you see if your sister can switch your photo op session to jamie’s last one at 5:10PM. so i called my sister to come over to ask on my behalf since i was past the curtain at this point and had no choice but to stay put as to not lose my spot within the line. once my sister came over, she spoke to those same employees who told her that there was nothing that they could do and that we are pretty much out of luck and to go see if maybe the front desk/customer service desk could help us and our situation. by a MIRACLE the front desk workers were very nice and helpful and they successfully switched my time from the first session to jamie’s 5th and final session. i cried again and jamie had left to do sessions 1-4 so we had to wait another hour for his return.

FINALLY, i’m very close to the front of the line when another, long vip line begins to form next to us on the other side of the curtain. my heart immediately drops/sinks because myself and the people around me start realizing oh my God they are just going to let the vip line go first even though we had been waiting for about 5 hours at that point and jamie hadn’t returned until around 4:40PM ish so i was back in the same position from the start/before or from the beginning where he would leave again and i still couldn’t give up my spot and i would pretty much lose everything. by another MIRACLE one of the workers said that they would be doing 2 vip to 1 general admission so it would be cutting it close again but there was still a chance. then, i finally made it through and jamie was RIGHT THERE inches down from me and oh my God i don’t even know where to begin. i had brought a magazine that he was on the cover of for him to sign and speaking from honesty writing this now, this part is a blur because of everything that i had went through to get to be standing across from him at his autograph table. but, what i do remember was him greeting me by my name, i had told him about how “waiting for your love” was the best song that i had ever heard in my life and i thanked him for everything. i cannot express enough how KIND and SWEET he is and he really does go out of his way to speak with you in a manner that makes you feel like you’re the only person standing in the room with him. then he signed my magazine and i walked away from his autograph table.

once i had gotten jamie’s autograph i was SOBBING from pure joy and relief. my sister watched from across the room and she had told me that our dad had been able to save my spot in line in the photo op room due to the kindness of the other nice workers positioned in there. from here, we walked to the other room and i kept sobbing when i met up with my dad, he himself even cried tears of happiness for me and this was honestly the first time that i had ever seen my dad cry like that, which was heartwarming. after a few minutes it was about 5:15PM ish and jamie had came over to the room to the back for the last or for the final private photo ops per group. right before this last photo op was going to start a worker came up to us and said that he would not be hugging or doing prom poses for the photos. i felt a little sad hearing this i’m not going to lie because i wanted that hug so bad and i had my heart set on it from the beginning. so i said okay and once it was my turn i walked to the back and jamie was standing there and he said “hello again” and i was still crying so i super emotionally said “hi” and he looked at me and goes “oh, angel…” and he initiated and pulled me into a hug for the pose for our photo. we were able to hug and he even went on to rest his head against mine, which to me felt like a comforting gesture. after our hug i was still feeling so emotional from it all that i actually started walking the wrong way to the exit so jamie politely said to me “oh, exit’s to the left…bye petal.”

from here, i got my copy of our photo and the frame and i left crying happily with my dad and my sister.

OH MY GOD, writing this now and reflecting on everything i cannot get over how INSANE this all was, how BLESSED i feel that everything had ultimately worked out, that jamie chose to let us hug even though he originally was not going to and that i get to live the rest of my life knowing that he called me “angel” and “petal”.

to end this, i want to say thank you to my sister, thank you to my dad and thank you especially to each and every single one of the beautiful people who had showed up for me in line and who chose to pretty much fight for me in order to make all of this possible. i also want to say that jamie campbell bower is an absolute sweetheart, is so gentle and i love him so much.

also, if you decided to read all of this to the end THANK YOU ily, X.

TLDR: i went to creep ie con on july 11, 2026 to meet jamie campbell bower and i ended up stuck in a brutal, about 5 hours long autograph line with little food, no water and no bathroom breaks. plus a leave the line and you lose your spot rule that almost made me miss his autograph session and my photo op with him (both of which were prepaid for). thanks to the kind people in line, my older sister, my dad and some helpful members of the staff, i got my photo op session time switched from the 1st one to the 5th one and fortunately, i had also gotten everything else that i had went there for. i finally met jamie for his autograph and he was so warm and attentive. then at the photo op session even though hugs weren’t supposed to be allowed he still allowed it, initiated it and pulled me into a hug anyway where he called me “angel” and “petal” and i left crying happy tears.

jcb forever.
