Not looking for sugar coats not looking for people to feel bad. I did what I did and at the end of the day I got to take ownership. I would like to get into a career in LE really have a passion for it back story when I was 16 I joyrided a vehicle and also got into cars to take things out. frequency of this because this will be asked happened once around summer time and winter time when I was the age of 16. Ever since then it clicked in me that I am going down the wrong path hanging with the wrong crowd (grew up in a hateful area where cops were pretty much disliked) Not giving an excuse for the environment at the end of the day I CHOSE to do what I did and im not gonna sit here and give excuses this is all on me. Anyways after high school went into the army been in for almost 7 years i’m now a SSG I have had no disciplinary issues in the army or outside , no felony’s no misdemeanor nothing on my record credit is good, didn’t bounce around jobs etc short story my actual record is clean as a whistle but the things i’ve done IE that ^ is all self disclosed im 24 now this all happened 8 years ago is this enough time away? I also did apply with a department they Non selected me and gave me a year to reapply but this is when I was 21. Usually they don’t reapply you regardless of the wait time so I cut my losses and just spent more time away.
Thanks for y’all’s time again just need to know if there’s any departments that are willing or if yall have any ideas if not then again this is my actions and that’s all on me and I got to keep it pushing.
