KZ SKS: almost the GOAT
I bought them in 2024 then only started my audiophile journey. Was not happy with them then, just didn't clicked to me. And yesterday I revisited them as somewhat knowledgeable guy.
Well now I can tell why they didn't click to me back then.
In general tuning is straight up MUD. They have a lot of bass, but this bass is not distinguishable from fart(slowed+reverb). And they have 0 treble.
EQ helped me to get rid of stupid amounts of bass, but treble cannot be rescued. There is just nothing to be done
Now to the sad part: The fit and convenance is unbeatable! With some tiprolling you can get absolutely rigged comfort. They are light and looking cool. I like every single thing about them, except sound quality.
If only KZ didn't make tuning based on preferences of golf gti with 4 15' subs, they could be excellent TWS. I'm really sorry no one made something with that level of comfort but with good sound quality.
Btw noise floor on them is also surprisingly bad. I can hear hissing at any comfortable volume. (Never bumped them more then 50%, they are LOUD)
