Phone Interview

Hello, fellow former educators! I'm leaving a college teaching gig for something in industry, but this interviewing process is new to me. I had sort of a pre-interview with the HR/hiring person, then had my phone interview with who would be my department head. (I'm told after that comes the in-person, more technical interview, then possibly an offer.)

The phone interview was just a bit...odd to me. Nothing was unpleasant just hard to read. I was justso prepared to do a whole spiel and answer any questions that I was taken aback when she had virtually none. She mostly asked what I knew about the position and the company, had me tell her about myself, asked if I was okay with travel, asked if I had any questions, and then left it at that. Is this normal? A good sign? A bad sign? I'm so used to the hoops we have to jump through to teach that I really don't know what to do with this experience.
