Hello! For my birthday, I have been given a $700-$800 USD budget to upgrade my ancient HP Pavilion 15. I know thats a low budget, but the heaviest game I play is ARK: SE which does run on the HP. I have been looking at this subreddit and a repeat suggestion is this on sale $650 pc (https://www.walmart.com/ip/seort/18093910427). I figured I could cheap out on a keyboard and monitor for future upgrades. Probably this keyboard https://www.walmart.com/ip/1468383760 and this monitor https://www.walmart.com/ip/18550211895 I know very little about PCs but I have wanted even a slight upgrade for a long time and think now is good esp with the price surging.
