I have a public Wordpress website. I am now looking however to password protect some specific pages (i.e. restrict access to these pages to just visitors who have a valid password). The website currently doesn't have any data entry elements for website visitors.

Thus far all plugins that I've found that offer this functionality are premium ones with hefty monthly subscription prices.

So my question: does a free plugin that offers what I'm looking for also exist?

Basically I would like to store a local copy of all files that are needed to offline view all pages that are directly accessible from a certain internet domain name. I would like to be able to navigate through these downloaded pages as normal (i.e. that when when viewing the offline website copy you can click on internal hyperlinks, and that then the corresponding page opens but using local files only).

Also important: my current target website requires that you log in using a user name and password first.

Does anyone have any good recommendations here perhaps?
