Day 10 and the graft has completely come off the worst recessed tooth!
I’m day 10 of my gum graft (tissue taken from my palate). This teeth has the worst recession. It was white from the beginning. I had a review last Wednesday due to it being white and the perio said it could be ‘fat pushing out of the graft’ or ‘possible but unlikely infected’ so gave me two lots of antibiotics to be on the safe side. It’s not infected; there is no smell or any symptoms of infection. He said it could also be a case of that particular area not getting a good blood supply yet and it may come in time. Well it definitely won’t now as it’s completely come away! I have been super careful with my brushing using a surgical brush on the teeth where the graft is. The stitches came loose a few days ago on that tooth but my period isn’t full-time at the clinic I had it done so he’s back in on Monday so there’s nothing I can do until Monday morning. I’m alarmed by this and not sure if to just not touch it at all or remove this white useless bit of tissue?
Any advice please?
