PPA QUESTIONS
As a delivery driver in the city I’m super tired of getting tickets for simple pick ups and drop offs downtown. There’s never any parking there and I notice you get in more trouble parking on a corner getting out of the way of traffic rather than obstructing traffic. Despite being no more than a literal 10 ft from my car for which my Bluetooth wasn’t even even skipping in the radio, windows wide open, car running, I manage to get a ticket unloading in a no stopping area. But I come to realize that I believe PPA has a surveillance system where they are being told/instructed to ticket cars violating the “rules”. There’s hardly ever any agents around certain areas closer to south Philly in CC because they have parking permits on a lot of residential downtown blocks. But can anyone confirm this,? This speculation is loosely based on getting a previous ticket where an officer knew exactly how long I was in the spot in a similar yet same scenario where I legally had two hour parking, car running and all but my inspection stickers where off date. But they seem to always know the right place and time despite car running and happens to always be on bike. Do they have “post locations” in the city where they sit and wait? There’s no way the can cover so much space in so little time by themselves. Or can they? Do anyone understand how they facilitate a basic shift on a basic downtown blocks?
