If you love Govind Dev Ji, you may be missing the most important part of His story!

Hare Krsna Jaipurites!

Do you know Govind Dev Ji aaye kahan se? (That's the original Vrindavan temple of Govind Dev Ji in the pic)

Originally, Govind Dev Ji’s deity was commissioned by the great-grandson of Krishna himself and remained in Vrindavan for over 5,000 years (a long part of it as lost, yet to be rediscovered by Srila Rupa Goswami - you can see his mural on one of the pillars of Govind Dev Ji temple).

Govind Dev Ji left Vrindavan around 1669 - 1670 and was gradually brought to Jaipur/Amer under Kachwaha protection by 1714 - 1715 under Sawai Jai Singh II.

So basically, Govind Dev Ji originally belonged to Vrindavan and chose to bless the people of Jaipur by moving to the heart of the city. Not just Govind Dev Ji, but deites of some of the most important temples in Jaipur and Rajasthan including Gopinath Ji, Radha Madhav, Radha Damodar, Gopinath Ji - ghari wale Thakur Ji (all of them moved to Jaipur), Madan Mohan Ji (Vrindavan to Jaipur and then Karauli) and Shreenath Ji (Nathdwara) were originally worshipped in Vrindavan with origins leading back to Krishna’s great grandson, Vajranabh Maharaj over 5,000 years ago.

Most people from Jaipur deeply love Govind Dev Ji, but sadly have never actually experienced the land He originally resided in.

And similarly, most people who “visit” Vrindavan still miss Vrindavan completely and end up just another place on their bucket list. As someone who’s lived in and loved both Vrindavan and Jaipur (better called Gupt Vrindavan), I can say none of these places is meant only for tourism. There’s a culture, legacy and heritage that needs to be experienced.

So I’m organising a small devotee-led (actual full-time devotees who’ve taken up the Vrindavan life and actually live in and know Vrindavan) 3 Days / 2 Nights Braj Yatra from Jaipur for people who genuinely want to experience Vrindavan beyond surface-level tourism.

This is NOT a commercial sightseeing package.

We’ll visit places that actually hold spiritual significance in Krishna’s pastimes and discuss:

  • the authentic history and pastimes connected to them
  • the mood and significance of Braj
  • the lifestyle and practices of monks and devotees seriously practising Krishna Bhakti

The intention is simple:
To experience Vrindavan as a sacred dham, not as a tourist destination.

We’ll intentionally avoid distractions and keep the experience centred around Krishna and Braj.

A few honest things upfront:

  • This will cost somewhat more than mainstream travel agents or MakeMyTrip packages (because they barely take you to a handful of Instagram and reels-famed spots, including Prem Mandir, Banke Bihari, ISKCON and Radha Raman and say that’s it).
  • But everything is included:
    • travel
    • Stay (clean, comfortable and AC, not the sarkari or private dormitories)
    • sattvik meals (everything offered to Krishna and prepared in devotee kitchens too)
    • local transport
  • You can genuinely forget your wallet at home for those 3 days (unless you want to do some local shopping).

The experience is designed and guided by practising devotees, which honestly creates a completely different atmosphere than what commercial providers can offer.

This is probably not for everyone. You WILL love it if you’re open to learning a lot of new things, are willing to explore spiritually potent places with a little extra effort, and are welcoming to change.

Also, we’ll keep it completely centred around Krishna, so it’ll be a leave the world outside Vrindavan when you’re in Vrindavan experience.

If enough genuinely interested people are there, we’ll finalise the first batch. The schedule will be in the last week of May. If you can bring a bigger batch, we can plan as per your schedule too!

Comment or DM if interested or curious. Please share with anyone who may want to have the authentic Vrindavan experience.

Hopefully, you’ll have a mind-changing yatra if Govind Dev Ji desires.
