Do I need math aa hl for admissions into competitive aerospace undergraduate programs in Canada.

Context: Hey im a Gr11 DP1 IB student, just one month into ib, and I wrote my first summative test for Math AA HL on the polynomials unit, and the score i got was 2/7, yes depressing. I heard it's a rite of passage for students to get low grades on their first assesment and so that's not the problem for me, the problem is my school is telling me that I can only drop down to sl math aa now, and it's basically now or never, and if I dont do it now, then im stuck in HL. So before I make a decision I want to know how canadian admissions work and if I could get accepted with good math aa sl score. My other HLs are Physics and Chem, Psychology (if moving math down). LMK if you have any questions or if you need more info before giving me advice. All responses are HIGHLY appreciated and valued. TY reddit ib community. (My first reddit post for an important decision lol)
