[Academic] Machine Learning Models for Predictive Maintenance in Industrial Robotics (18+, robotics/AI/engineering/manufacturing background)

Hi everyone,

I am currently conducting a Master’s dissertation survey on machine learning models for predictive maintenance in industrial robotics.

The study compares models such as Random Forest, Support Vector Machines, LSTM networks, and XGBoost, and also explores practical issues such as interpretability, implementation barriers, computational constraints, and operational conditions in industrial environments.

I am looking for responses from people with experience, study, or technical knowledge in any of the following areas:

- robotics

- industrial automation

- manufacturing systems

- maintenance engineering

- machine learning / AI

- data science

- mechanical, electrical, or computer engineering

- predictive maintenance or condition monitoring

The survey takes approximately 5–7 minutes.

Responses are anonymous and will be used only for academic dissertation research. No personal identifying information is required.
