Gold accused white of defending horribly and needing to learn to drive. Where any of my defenses here unfair? I am white
Looking for thoughts. The first incident, he gave us both a 4x with the contact by trying to move under. I don't think i did anything but use a defensive line here, gave him plenty of space but kept a defensive line even if i went a bit deeper than i would have liked not wanting to be out braked and would have been later on the accelerator if he had kept on the outside there. I gave him the spot on the straight because i didn't want him behind me after the first 4x. I overtook him a few laps later when he made an error.
He over takes me again in what i would say at best was am aggressive move (second part) or at worst where he used me as a brake after locking his wheels without anyway to overtake cleanly without contact. Rubbing is racing, but I think that type of contact isn't sustainable in formula. I give it back a bit to widen my line after and we both live to drive the rest of the race without any incident points.
Final overtake shown i learn from the previous corner, make sure to keep him on the outside of the second chicane. I felt this was just a normal defensive line through a chicane.
He overtook me later when i went deep, but then messed up the last turn to allow me to overtake him just prior to the finish. Afterwards he called me a "dirty fucking racer" and said to learn how to drive.
Was my driving dirty? Any areas to improve?
