New hot tub owner
So just got my first hot tub recently and I've been having a hell of a time balancing the water. Test strips show the pH is really high but no mater how many times I add the pH reducer it doesn't move and then the water gets super foamy. I've followed the instructions from the store, I've shocked it, I've managed every other level the best I can but the pH will not come down, I've only had it about a week.
What can I do?
Edit: Ok so the guy at the store said the pH could be bleeding, not sure what that means. But I drained about a quarter of the water and filled it up with new water and didn't add anything to it. Just tested it now and the pH is still extremely high and the alkalinity is non existent. I'm gonna try and raise the alkalinity and wait a bit and add some chlorine after and see what happens.
