The time has come for the weather forecast, Vamp Slayers!
*Reminder to VOTE STORM for the 2026 HellFire Gala.*
To start, I hear the concerns regarding how many free skins Storm already has and how this might be detrimental to Storm's skin future, but there is already a detriment my fellow magicals, mutants, and mutates.
Emma won last year, and even if the skins aren't always what we want, and though she won due to specific reasons, it DID shift her on the list of priority for skins due to how popular she was during the voting.
Rogue currently has less skins, a fair point. However, Rogue released in December and with the iconic Savage Lands skin. Then was in a specifically pushed and extended gatcha event alongside Gambit for a legendary wedding skin. We know the devs banked off that event and it boosted Rogue's place in priority. Rogue has less skins now with the event passed, but 4 of Storm's 6 skins also cannot be obtained any longer, and the last time Storm was in shop was back in March 2025.
Free skins are nice but lead to lack of sales and a lot of people dismissing the concerns. Turns out it has since been revealed that's how these devs determine who gets skins, through sales, which Storm never has due to being solely limited time free skins since March 2025. Her first battlepass skin was only AFTER 6 previous seasons (counting Season 0) and she was part of the only couple to get a non legendary wedding skin. All this fueling the idea that Storm cannot sell in shop. This is our chance as a community to showcase her popular demand, by using the popularity contest and potential convince the devs to push her in the shop.
All the other characters in the running will keep getting skins in the shop should they lose. Half the options just got skins. Storm will not get shop skins if she loses, and even with this vote we're only hoping she'll get more attention then every couple of months as a back up free skin.
If we don't voice our interest now, with a popular vote, then when else will the chance to show demand in a way the devs cannot directly refute?
