I keep seeing posts about OLED monitors getting problems specially after cleaning, my current monitors have been with me for years and I'm pretty sure I could punch them, meanwhile I have to do a whole ritual to clean an OLED monitor and still people are getting issues because their destiled water wasn't pure enough? It scares me a bit to spend so much money on something might get fucked if my dog pushes his nose against it.

I'm looking for a monitor for gaming/programming, I don't have any panel preference and don't need more than 240hz since I don't play any competitive games.

I don't plan to game at 4k (usually prefer to play on ultra settings at 1440p) either but I'm willing to pay the extra money if pixel density helps with text fringing problems I have read about.

Any help?
