Veteran Bowhunter Q and A

Happy 4th of July Weekend my fellow bow hunters!!

Last year I did an AMA style post- not for my own benefit, just to help w community made of people who share my life’s passion- getting schooled by wild animals with a bow in my hand.

Here’s a link to last years post — https://www.reddit.com/r/bowhunting/s/BChpUNitHt

If you saw / remember last years post- tell me how your season went!!

If you’re new around here or find yourself with any questions- NOTHING is too basic, too dumb, too anything as long as it’s a good faith question (looking at you, lurking vegans who are gonna ask how I kill Bambi)

I genuinely love it, I don’t have a channel, a product to sell, anything. I just want to help people.

So fire away!!

I need BP

I have leveled up from my first season, a bunch of weak contact, to usually one or two solid line drives a game (one time I got 3!!!). Im not a power guy but I am fast so my goal is just to get on base. Line drive singles with the occasional double or more are fine by me. The rest are decent / hard grounders balls with some finding holes.

I am peppering the HELL out of the third base/short stop hole as a righty. I feel like my line drives are over shorts head. My hard grounders are either at short or a bit to the third base side.

I want to get some BP in since right now I play only 1x a week, but I also don’t have anyone to pitch

Is tee work in to a net worth it for slow pitch? How else do folks get practice swings in? I don’t wanna be a world beater, I just want more consistent line drives because those are fun.

Thanks!
