XRP down as Korean bank adopts Ripple Payments

In the article, Ripple was asked which asset will it use for its cross-border operations with Korean Jeonbuk Bank but Ripple did not respond.

"In a release shared with CoinDesk, Ripple describes the service as delivering near real-time stablecoin cross-border settlement, without specifying which asset moves the money."

"The company has spent the past year pushing RLUSD, the dollar-pegged token it issues, as the settlement asset for institutional work. CoinDesk asked Ripple which asset the Jeonbuk deployment uses and did not immediately receive a reply."

It seems obvious now that Ripple is leaving xrp to its own devices. It's success will depend on whether enough defi companies build on xrpl creating liquidity for xrp. Ripple itself, I don't think care about xrp liquidity that much other than offloading their escrow to retail.

A Level-headed and I believe accurate article on double-digit xrp

This is a fantastic article if you're wondering what the future of XRP might be and why it's at where it is now. It covers a lot of pertinent information.

Escrow conflict of interest

I used to ignore it thinking it's not that important but recently it hit me that Ripple holding on to 40 billion XRP coins is a massive conflict of interest with the rest of us holding the coin.

Think about it. We bought into it for price appreciation. Ripple constantly sells into the market depressing its price. They don't really care because even if XRP went down to one cent that would still represent $400 million to them as free money. Of course, they'd rather make a lot more than that from their escrow but if they can't, it's neither here nor there for them.
