AirPods + MacBook + iPhone calls: what’s the least annoying setup?

I use AirPods Max 2/ AirPods Pro 2 with my MacBook most of the time, with my iPhone nearby by my side.

The issue is normal phone calls:

  1. If I answer on my MacBook, people say I sounds unclear/my mic sounds weak, or even delay...

  2. If I answer on my iPhone, the AirPods often take several seconds to switch over, so the other person can’t hear me at first for 10 seconds until AirPods decides to connect to iPhone. Even manually selecting AirPods from Control Center before answering the call.

How do you handle this setup? Do you answer on the Mac, answer on the iPhone, or use another workaround?

Looking for a more reliable way to avoid the awkward “can you hear me?” delay.

p.s. i get multiple daily calls that this is getting on my nerves.

Should I center my Apple TV under the TV for AirPods head-tracked Spatial Audio?

I’m using AirPods Max 2 with Apple TV 4K. Does the Apple TV’s physical placement matter for Head Tracked Spatial Audio, or does tvOS/AirPods handle the calibration automatically?

Can placing the Apple TV off to the side or behind the TV affect the perceived center/dialogue position?
