I’ve been scammed multiple times by someone offering to shard my pet. I have now learned my lesson and I want to help others so it doesn’t happen to you. Here are things to look for when trusting someone with your pet:

1.) If they don’t have reviews or vouches that’s scary of course, but it just means they haven’t done it before and are sweet to offer. Make sure you see how long their account has been active and how involved they are in the community before even bothering to give them Roblox info. If they are new, then that most likely that means they lost their old account due to scamming or had to delete it for the same reason.

2.) If you have made it to the point of exchanging. I would make sure they have a pet that is comparable in price to yours to use for collateral that they can exchange when you give them your pet. After they shard your pet, you obviously will give it back at the same time they give you yours back, plus however much they charge for the shard.

3.) If they don’t have a lot of friends on Roblox and just have a basic avatar then that’s a red flag. They should be able to give you their main account or alt account. Or you can ask just in case and see how they respond. I get some people may not want to give that out, but it helps people to trust more if they do.

4.) If you make it into the game with them and they don’t have a lot of “likes” on their garden and really don’t have much of a garden then that’s a red flag. That most likely means again that they are only there to scam you.

5.) If they don’t have any good pets then they are just looking to take others good pets, including yours. They should have good pets in their garden or to use for collateral. If they don’t, then don’t give them your pet.

If anyone else has anything to add, feel free. I just wanted to try and help anyone and everyone I can. It really sucks when you work so hard to get a pet only to have it taken from you. I’ve been seeing a lot of people getting shard scammed lately and that’s why I decided to make this post. Keep your pets safe!! 😎
