How often do Pro Fighters Change gyms?

I've been thinking a lot lately about how pro fighters change gyms constantly, even if it's to a rival gym. I've noticed a lot of fighters from a regional promotion flocking to a hot gym right now, due to a current UFC champ coming out of there along with a few fighters who have been loyal to that gym going to the UFC. This makes me question, does fighter loyalty to a gym exist? I feel this gym is slowly becoming a kill cliff gym, lots of talent & skill in one room is badass but makes me question how would I feel if i were a coach, seeing my fighter go. I like to put myself in each perspective if that makes sense. Not hating, but makes me wonder. I understand cross training for a specific skill set such as boxing, Muay Thai etc, since that particular coach has more experience in that skill set. But it just makes me wonder. I understand it's all for a goal & that's to make it to the top.

So recently, this guy wanted to "fight" because I honked since he cut me off really aggressively almost causing an accident causing me to swerve. Nothing happened, I said no words nothing lol but he was enraged yelling "what's up what's up, pull over". Followed me a bit but then stopped.... Obviously I train/compete since I'm posting on this sub, but I've never gotten in a street fight I feel it's nonsense & it's just asking for more trouble.

With that being said, question for this sub

MMA Amateurs, Boxers, etc

Have y'all ever actually fought someone a stranger specifically with the skills you have?
