RCF F-10XR or Yamaha MG10XU mixer for mobile setup?

I'm looking at buying my next mixer and I think I've narrowed it down to these 2. Would love to hear from folks with real life experience with the RCF and/or Yamaha mixer.

I mainly do small corp events, weddings, and school dances.

Outdoor softball field with 1,300-1,500 people. How would you expand my current JBL SRX setup?

I'm looking for some advice from people who regularly do larger outdoor events.

My current rig is:

  • 2x JBL SRX815P tops
  • 2x JBL SRX818P subs

Most of my work is weddings, corporate events, and school dances, and this setup has been fantastic. However, I've been asked to DJ an outdoor event at a softball field, and I'm trying to figure out the best way to scale up. There's a good chance I can establish a monthly recurring show.

A few details:

  • Estimated attendance: 1,300-1,500 people
  • No stage or elevated platform. I'll be set up at ground level.
  • The infield will be roped off.
  • The dance area will be on grass along the first-base side and extend into the outfield.
  • The goal is good dance music coverage, not concert-level SPL.

My instinct is that simply turning everything up isn't the answer.

If this were your event, what would you add?

  • More SRX815P tops? More subs?
  • Do I need to worry about delaying speakers halfway down the field if I add more?
  • I don't really want to get into array setups, should I look for a way to get speaker towers/lifts to get the tops above the crowd?

Would love some suggestions from folks more experienced doing outdoor events with 1200+ people.

Thank you in advance!
