I came across this clip on Instagram a few days ago and have been trying to figure out how he did it ever since.

In the linked video the magician places a random card in the spectator’s hands, and then proceeds to reveal that the card has “changed” into the spectator’s chosen card.

Typically I would show the card and then do a double lift/top change. I’d say second dealing would work too. But all these techniques would require the magician to conceal the card after showing it. Here he shows the card right before placing it in the spectator’s palm - so when and how did he perform the change?
