Today after the sauna, it finally hit me. I was standing there with a paper tea cup, and instead of writing my name, I intentionally signed it: "Non-Self".

​In that split second, I got it. It clicked. I realized that this "Non-Self" is actually who I am. My name is just one big cosmic joke and an organizational tool. I just stood there and started laughing. The trick has been right in front of our eyes the whole time, yet we try so hard to "find ourselves."

​Maybe it’s not full enlightenment, but the feeling of finally seeing through the trick is incredibly liberating. No wonder the Buddha has that subtle, knowing smile on all those statues. He knew. 🙂
