Uploading isn’t actually uploading your consciousness but making a perfect copy of it right?
I’m just confused why some people in the show were so eager to upload when it’s effectively just killing you and then cloning you. Like do they not realise they aren’t actually going to get anywhere and it’s just a clone that gets integrated? It’s not a “digital afterlife” it’s literally just your clone that gets to enjoy it, not you.
