In episode 10, Ates said both of his parents have no relatives. And whenever he asked, they would change subject and this is quite fishy. Firstly having no relatives is very unusual unless both his parents were orphans, if they were orphans then there is quite a lot of backstory to unfold. And if his parents are hiding their relatives from their kids then the big question is WHY?

Moreover, seems like S1 storyline is being repeated. Hazar came back for revenge, may be there is Ates parents role in tormenting Hazar as a kid, hence he is using Eylul like Ates used Mercan to enter in S1. Then Hazar will fall in love with Eylul. And like Ates learnt Mercan is innocent. Hazar also knows Eylul is innocent plus had a really bad childhood so he will sympathize with her. Plot is not exactly same but parallels can be drawn from season 1.

I just hope by the end of S2. All plot holes are solved.

I mean her anger is justified but she is too reckless and exhausting of a character. I like Muzzy panicky though due to Hazar. Also where Cemal lives now? that saliha took his seat at the dining table.

I wish instead of making Ates hot-headed, the writers could have made him shrewd. Ates character is perceptive I agree. He can sense the danger lurking around. But I want Ates to be more calculative.

I understand he is fearless and ready to face his enemy. But he needs to control his temper and not make haste decisions. I would love to watch him play mind games with Hazar.

If later on Hazar becomes a good guy or the plot justifies his wrong doings and makes him head over heels in love with Eylül, then I would want Ates to play a cunning villain in their story. I think Emin can pull it off well.

I think if the show-makers were so hell bent to recreate Mertes scenes this season. Rather than recreating with other characters, they could have shown a separation + time leap or something.

Then again Mercan and Ates starting afresh after some years with the same old spark, and then they could recreate old Mertes scenes. In fact when they recreate the scenes, they could show past flashback with S1 like they showed during the 100 Days Leap on S1 (boat and fishnet scene)

For other characters write new scenes, if those scenes are good, they can also become iconic.

I know Arafta is mainly about Mertes and I love them. But in season 2 seeing some of episode 8. I feel it was better if Ates have never married or fall in love with Mercan. The girl is in so much guilt and toxicity around this household. Like I understand Ates is in limbo, Eylul has trauma and all caused by Mercan's dad but it is not Mercan's fault. She will be at least at peace if she leaves the bro and sis.

Sounds very insensitive but logical: Mercan should go back to Italy and may be find someone else. And Ates and Eylul should heal themselves through therapy, send all the people responsible for their trauma behind the bars and move on with their life.

Also may be its the actress's acting or maybe written like that but I find Eylul very annoying like when she was introduced at first, she was cool and all but atleast not now. Though I understand she has ptsd.

Note: I love MERTES and I also want them together but not in the way that Mercan become a punching bag of her own self and everyone else.

I meant I want Mercan to leave Ates. Meanwhile Ates and Eylul should go seek therapy as well as avenge on the people who all are responsible for their trauma.

May be then they can show time leap, and show Mercan coming back after years, meeting Ates again. This time healed Eylul with a changed heart towards Mercan understanding that Ates true happiness is with Mercan, can reunite them again or something like that.
