Man charged in Central Synagogue attack linked to posts about Judaism and Mamdani

According to the article, the suspect was motivated by his desire to convert to Judaism, according to his aunt, "He’s mentally traumatized because of his desire to belong to that religion [Judaism] — that’s what he’s said." He also made recent social media posts comparing Mamdani to the Ayatollah Khomeini.

Given there was a post yesterday with 200+ comments on this attack (with most blaming Mamdani), it seems relevant to post this now that the motive has been determined.

Destiny crashes out after El-Sayed wins and doxxes umichvoter

I censored his name here, but yeah he made a Twitter post asking his followers to find his name, and after they found it for him he made this huge multi-part post revealing his name, the country he was born in, posting multiple photos from his social media, and calling for his community to harass him (umichvoter has since privated his account).

For those that don't know, umichvoter was a McMorrow supporter (and switched to supporting Abdul she dropped out), he gave really good election analysis leading up to and during the election.
