I take Slynd to hopefully eventually stop or slow my periods. I have adapted to the side effects for the most part after 2 months, besides the constant spotting/light flow lately, which I hear gets better.
The problem I'm having is that when I get cramps (which I get a lot), or a muscle pull or something else the only pain medicine I can take is acetaminophen/Tylenol. Apparently when you are on Slynd you cannot take NSAIDS such as Ibuprofen, Aleve, etc. because it jumps your risk of kidney and liver damage and hyperkalemia, which is dangerous. It is explicitly contraindicated.
I want to give this a chance to stop my periods but I am getting increasingly angry that when I have uterine cramps, like now, there is just about nothing I can do for the pain that I know of. I can't live with anemia/heavy periods, but I can't live in pain all the time either.
How do you manage pain, specifically cramps? TIA <3
