Elbow patch tips
Complete beginner here - I have a woolen jumper with completely blown out elbows that I'd love to try sashiko on. I've done some research and understand that there are some specific considerations when it comes to doing sashiko on wool e.g. the thread type. However it also occurred to me that fixing elbows might also require some specific techniques. Does anyone have any tips? It would be hugely appreciated.
Does anyone else have periods of falling out of love with printmaking?
After I first got into linocut maybe 5 years ago, I REALLY got into it for maybe 2 years and then suddenly fell out of love with the process.
I gave it a break for a year and then found myself wanting to pick it back up again. Suddenly the cycle begins again - I've been really enjoying it for the last 2 years right up until the last print I made, where instead of the usual joy I'd get upon the reveal of the first print, I was suddenly sick of it again.
I love seeing other people's work, I love the artform, but I don't love it for me. A big part of me wants to carry on making prints but I seem to have an active aversion to it at the moment. Just wondering if anyone else goes through similar cycles?
