Free subtitles for active projects - I'm testing my tool and need real files
I'm developing a subtitle creation tool, and I need different use cases - podcasts, interviews, lectures, YouTube content, and webinars. The goal is subtitles, not just transcriptions.
I need a total of 10 files, ideally from different people with different accents and on different topics. This will give you a more reliable result than 10 files from one source, but if fewer people respond, I will take a few projects from those who respond. Active projects are preferred so that you can compare my results with what you are currently using.
Helping you with an active project is my way of paying you for helping me with testing. If you are satisfied with the results, please send me files from your new projects.
What you get
Subtitles with industry-standard parameters (42 words per line, 1-2 lines, semantic line breaks, corrected spelling and punctuation errors, and removed extra words).
In addition, you don't need to ask for anything by default:
- Time-stamped transcription
- Transcription summary
- YouTube chapters - time-stamped section markers to allow viewers to switch between topics
About the PDF file
To make it easier to check important details, you also get a PDF file that collects everything in one place:
- All names, abbreviations, and numbers mentioned in the audio recording
- Places where artificial intelligence has corrected possible transcription errors based on the context
- Passages marked as uncertain by artificial intelligence, which require your verification
- CPS > 20 sections are either compressed using artificial intelligence or marked for manual verification, depending on your preferences. This is useful as a quality control checklist. It can also be passed on to the client as a bonus, allowing them to check names and terminology without having to listen to the entire audio recording.
In the final interface, it will be an interactive, editable table. PDF is an intermediate format until the web interface is launched.

- Vertical subtitles for videos
- There is no user interface yet, as I am currently running it manually. If you're satisfied with the results, I'll provide you with early access in 1-2 weeks so you can test it yourself when the web interface is ready.
Language
Calibrated for English (CPL/CPS are set to English reading speed). Subtitles in other languages work, but the settings remain calibrated for English. Adaptive settings are planned.
Who I hope to reach
Especially useful if you work with subtitles regularly and know what CPL/CPS is — your keen eye will notice things that others might miss. But we'd love to hear from anyone with an active subtitle project.
