Overwhelmed and need to make decision quickly for small and sunny front yard - looking for low maintenance native shrubs/bushes and perennials that won't impact house foundation
New front lawn that gets lots of sun all day long. Currently a blank slate but the sod is arriving next week and hoping to create a small low maintenance garden that won't impact the house foundation with roots, before the grass is laid down. The space is about 8 meters wide.
A few shrubs and a perennial or two would be great. If it could benefit pollinators and butterflies, even better. Soil is quite dry and sandy currently top soil can be added.
How can this lawn be enhanced and make sure it's the right thing for the local ecosystem while keeping it low maintenance?
AI is providing too much conflicting info so hopefully the good people of reddit can assist! Thank you in advance!
