Fake Chris Motionless Account?
There is a fake YouTube account that I've come across several times, and it's frustrating to see that some fans are being tricked into believing it's real.
As far as I know, Chris Motionless doesn't have a personal YouTube account. Only the band has one official. Correct me if I'm wrong.
The channel reuses old content of Chris from other social platforms, uses a channel description that imitates his profile (but with workarounds, mistakes in wording, like u/motionlesswhite instead of u/motionlessinwhite) and even claims to be the "only official" page. The owner also replies to fans while pretending to be Chris.
In the channel description the owner wrote false info:
“United States
Joined Jul 19, 2006
947,428,304 views”
while the real YouTube info of that channel is:
“Joined 30 Apr 2026
10,327 views”
Quite ironic - doesn't seem like the legitimate move from an authentic account.
This appears to be an impersonation account; it violates YouTube's impersonation policies. I've reported the channel.
If Chris ever created an official personal YouTube account, it would almost certainly be announced through his verified social media accounts (Instagram, TikTok, X) and through the band’s official channels. It would also post original, fresh content rather than reused clips or fan-uploaded material. Besides, that person simply doesn't sound like Chris to me - the way he talks with fans, though some people are falling for it.
Everyone, just a reminder to double-check before interacting with suspicious accounts claiming to belong to public figures. Scammers might act in the same way - and the cost of deception in this case might be your money or sensitive info compromised.
Edit: Chris confirmed on X that he does NOT have a personal YouTube page. Therefore, the account is confirmed to be a scam.
