I am 29 Female working in IT in bangalore and i had my US tourist visa interview 13th May 2026 in hydrabad(India) and got approved. Sharing my experience because Reddit posts helped me a lot during my preparation.
My appointment time was 9:15 AM, but they started allowing people inside around 8:30 AM. After entering, there was almost a 1-hour wait before my turn came.
VO was a female officer and the interview was pretty quick.
Questions asked:
Purpose of visit?
→ Tourism
Do you know anybody in the US?
→ No
Where do you work?
→ Mentioned my company
How many years have you worked there?
→ 2 years in current company, total 7 years of experience
What is your package/salary?
→ Told my package
Is that CTC or base?
→ Clarified the base salary
Do you feel any harm in India?
→ No
When you come back, will you feel harm here?
→ No
After that, she said: “approved.”
Overall, the interview was calm and straightforward. I answered confidently and kept my responses short and clear. Sharing this in case it helps someone who’s nervous before their interview. Good luck everyone! 🙌
