Bike packing friends for Japan ~June/July 2026

Hi all!

I am planning on bike packing from Kagoshima to Tokyo this June/July and am looking for someone/some people to bike with for any part. I love riding my bike but have never ridden long distances and never have bike packed before. So I am definitely a beginner!

I don't know if ill make it all the way to Tokyo but I plan to keep going as long as its fun or I run out of time as I have to fly back home to Canada sometime in July to start preparing for my next semester of uni.

Let me know if you want to meet up!

btw, I forgot to mention that I have a rough route planned out where I have hotels/campsites every 100km but I may keep a more leisurely pace of ~50km-80km as its my first time. Also, I have a Cannondale Topstone 1 gravel bike but I am planning on sticking to paved roads mainly but will definitely be looking for cool rindo side roads if possible. I am really laid back so I am open to being flexible with pace or accommodation!

I really appreciate any advice or recommendations!!!
