LMTR - Linux Multitrack Recorder v0.3.2

Hi, I just released the new version of the multitrack recorder that I'm building, based on Jack.

It now has 16 tracks and support for LV2 plugins, no support for native GUIs (yet) but you can change parameters with a custom UI in the same way as LADSPA.

I also addressed a few bugs and in general the core functionalities are more stable.

Check it out: https://codeberg.org/agrigolo/LMTR

You can download the AppImage and run it right away.

I would love to have your feedback and feature suggestions.

Thanks!

LMTR - Linux MultiTrack Recorder

Hi,

I'm building a multitrack recorder for Linux, based on Jack.

The idea was to build something that fills the gap between a simple recorder and a DAW with a minimalist approach, and that is capable of producing a finished track.

What is already there:

- 8 mono tracks with volume and pan and a master bus. These tracks are exposed to the Jack server and can be routed in a patchbay, but I built a dialog to ease the I/O.

- Three slots for LADSPA effects for all tracks and the master track. Tracks also have a monitoring option to hear the effects applied in realtime on the master bus.

- Import of audio files in each track

- Punch-In and Punch-Out recording with a visual feedback on where the points are in the waveform

- Export of the master mix, with selection of bounds and silence at the beginning and end of the track

- Export of single stems, both dry and with effects applied

- Metronome with count-in

It is still in Alpha state but I would love to have your feedback and ideas for new features.

Here you can find the link to download the AppImage and the source code (GPL3 license):

The only prerequisite to run the AppImage is having Jack or pipewire-jack running but I assume that is not an issue in this subreddit :)

Thanks!
