Elective c section

Hello everybody!

One of my friends recommended I go through this thread and read people’s experiences. I’ve decided to post on here for thoughts and opinions! From what I’ve read, elective c sections are controlled and usually have no complications. I’m happy to read that most people think their recovery was easy and even easier than vaginal birth. I’m a ftm and wanting an elective c section simply because I don’t want to deal with any pain. From what I’ve read on here, elective sections usually go very well and recovery is easy and not very painful. Can people who have had elective c sections let me know about their experiences?

Edit : I’m sorry if this offended anyone as some of the comments are quite upset. I really wasn’t trying to imply any birth is easy or simple but I’ve quite literally been through this sub where many of the comments about elective c section in specific have been very positive! People have described them as “a dream” “easier than vaginal birth recovery” and basically said that the risks of emergency cs are not as prevalent with elective c sections. People have kinda implied that those comments are fear mongering and I guess I just wanted some opinions and thoughts. I definitely understand it’s not one size fits all and that it’s still birthing a baby. Sorry if it offended anyone.

Edit #2: honestly thank you to all the people who genuinely commented because you’ve definitely given me more to think about. I wish people in this sub would be more intentional with their words because when I read through comments, it seemed like an elective c section was a very positive experience. Also I’m just a 21yr old ftm who has a very low pain tolerance but thanks to the nasty comments calling me not the brightest or whatever, I really just feel worse now. Again, thank you for the nice people who gave me genuine insight, I really really appreciate it!
