Real actors are willing to go through hardship for their craft!
I am worried about posting this because it's technically off topic. But I need to know if others have similar thoughts.
Every time I reflect on what Blake Lively complained about, I think about Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio and The Abyss (1989).
In one scene, she was wet, chest exposed, receiving chest compressions for hours. Her character was being resuscitated. The crew of the deep sea drilling rig was all around her and she was there for a long time. He chest being pounded on. When one of the cameras ran out of film, she stood up, screamed at the director (James Cameron) "we're not animals!" And didn't return to set for the day. That's it. No lawsuit. No list. No lawyers.
They explain it here: https://youtu.be/tTzGKSblVfA?si=-GKvFtw54RlQWJiQ
Can you imagine if this was Blake? Blake isn't an actor because she's not willing to be uncomfortable for the art. As someone who has done some acting, as a high school drama teacher THAT annoys me. She stepped into an important project and was a snotty kid about it.
Also... I would love film clips, or making-of clips showing other actors who really put themselves through hell for their movies. Bonus points for women.
Just to remind everyone what real actors have to do for their craft.
