My bf is fascinated by all things construction and heavy machinery. I’m looking for fun things to do for our anniversary in this realm.
Thoughts would be:
- a spot we can chill have lunch and see into a construction site and just watch what’s going on
- a construction site tour? I have no idea if that’s a thing
Examples of things he has found exciting:
- yesterday I saw and sent him a video of a crane lowering to retrieve more rebar to bring to the top of the building in construction. His response was “that’s siiiiiick!!!”
- he loves the diagonal elevator at the Hudson Yards subway stop (the walls are glass and you can see all the machinery- it’s cool if you haven’t checked it out yet).
- he was also fascinated by the 72nd St Q elevators (again, glass walls)
- I send him pics or vids of any sort of cranes or heavy machinery I see
- any construction site we walk past we always look in to see what’s going on and he tries to identify all the machines and what they’re there for.
