Hello all! I am a foodie and long time lurker on this sub. With my France trip coming up, I would like your help critiquing the list of restaurants I have compiled thus far. No trip is complete unless I go to at least 6-8 restaurants/dessert shops per day wherever I travel haha--I am very neurotic and type A that way (with a bottomless stomach at that!) and genuinely enjoy cramming in that many places! Having said that, I have compiled a list of restaurants/dessert shops currently on my itinerary that I was hoping people could judge to ensure there are not any overly hyped places not worth the price/wait--and if so, then appreciate any worthy replacements. Thank you in advance!!
Narbonne: ressie booked for Les Grands Buffets
Nice: Chez Pipo for their socca, pissaladiere, pan bagnat. L'epicerie georges, as I've heard good things about them.
Paris:
Day 1: La Maison d'Isabelle for croissant, Berthillon for ice cream (or Chapon for chocolate mousse--sadly cannot cram both in), Richart for macarons. Le Train Bleu for dinner. La Creme de Paris Notre Dame for their crepes.
Day 2: Angelina hot chocolate (or Stohrer--sadly cannot cram both in). La Jacobine for lunch. Chapon here if unable to on Day 1. Au Pied de Cochon (I've heard mixed things about this place--and if would not recommend, then please let me know which restaurant nearby Galeries Lafayette you'd recommend!). Breizh Cafe Marais for crepes/galettes for post-dinner snack.
Day 3: Boulangerie Paris and Co for their special flan bar on Sunday. Carette for hot chocolate. La Pistacherie for pistachio goods. Relais de l'Entrecote for lunch (also heard mixed things about this place--and if would not recommend, then please let me know which restaurant nearby Arc de Triomphe you'd recommend!). Laduree AND Pierre Herme (literally across the street from each other!) for macarons. Chocolat Illene for more dessert. Mamiche. Then Bouillon Pigalle for dinner (also heard mixed things about this place--if not recommend, plz lmk restaurant nearby there thanks!).
Day 4: Boulangerie Du Pain et Des Idees, then Boulangerie Utopie, then flight back home 😞
I know this food itinerary may sound crazy, but I thrive on crazy 😄. Thank you so much!!
Sincerely,
Bloated Foodie
