We are in the midst of buying our first home together. I've bought one previously but its been over ten years. We just got the inspection report back and the only major issue is one side of the house needs replaced siding due to water leaking up under it. And replaced flashing as well.
My suggestion was to ask for a 10k credit. They want to ask for 20-40k credit. I think that is STEEP seeing as we already asked for 20k off the asking price already AND they are a contractor and it wouldn't even cost us 10k to begin with.
However, they disagree and say I'm not thinking clearly at all. Im beyond frustrated and have suspected they don't want to move in the first place bc they have been difficult at every turn.
