Hello everyone!

I was trying to fix my pc that couldn't boot and after a whole day of trying everything I decided to just reinstall windows and lose some files.

Wanted to stop that day because I was mentally tired from the troubleshooting but kept going.

I was about to make a windows installer with rufus on my laptop, pressed start clicked ok on the warnings that it will delete everything. It ran about 5 seconds then I saw that my external sandisk extreme 1tb ssd was selected instead of the pendrive.

Instantly canceled the procedure but the ssd is now unrecognized by windows and gives a error message:

"The volume does not contain a recognized file system. Please make sure that all required file system drivers are loaded and that the volume is not corrupted."

I'm bit devistated, I have a lot of important files on it.

I have already contacted a datasaver company and they quoted it would be between 250-500$.

Do you think this is the only/best option? Or should I try fixing it myself, what are the chances of recovery/making it worse?

Thanks in advance for any answers!
