Snowsky Echo's flaws/annoyances or new habits?

So I just got my Snowsky Echo, not mini, yesterday and synced my entire curated music library onto it. MusicBee is my app of choice for ripping and sorting, and now also syncing to the Echo. With MusicBee I can make sure that the album covers are embedded in the files, as well as resizing them, so the Echo can display the covers with no issue.

The device is quite amazing, but...

Gapless is something that I really like, if you are used to it, the small paus between songs that normally flows together is a bit jarring, but not a deal breaker, it's been talked to death on this subreddit already.

Sorting leaves a lot to be desired. I have sorted all albums by year, if needed, but that metadata does not carry over to the Echo in the normal player view. I can go into the file browser, but then the folders are sorted by the creation date, which is bizarre to say the least. This even if I have specifically named all the albums with the year/date as a prefix.

Also, speaking of sorting, any artist or group having a "The" in the beginning are all under "T", which is perfectly logical, but not convenient in any way. Many apps and devices understand this, and put The Beatles under "B", for instance. Not so the Echo

My two cents: The Snowsky Echo is an amazing device with simplicity at the forefront. The ability to copy music directly to an external drive and it just works without third party software is a very nice thing to see again. It would be nice if the hardware could allow for some better software experience though.

At this point, the day after, the annoyances has developed to new habits.
