I’ve recently applied for student housing and am looking forward to moving to Stuttgart in September. Since I’ll be new to Germany, I’d love to connect with other students before arriving.

I’m an incoming MSc Computer Science student at the University of Stuttgart. I applied for student housing months ago, but I missed a confirmation email that required a response within 5 days. By the time I noticed, my application had been deleted.
I’ve submitted a new application, but I likely lost my original place in the queue. I know there are WG and private housing options, but it’s hard not to think about how one missed email may have cost me a dorm room.
Has anyone else been through this? Were you still able to find accommodation before the semester started?
